it is ok to give your chihuahua pig 's ear as a treat but be sure to boil it first and make sure that it is clean and soft. don't feed your dog raw meat. it may contain bacterias that can cause diarreah for them... i also feed my dog with same treats.

Theres a lot of fat in there for a pups sensitive tummy. Even our grown dogs aren't given a whole pig ear at a time due to the fat content and I'm somewhat concerned that too much could cause intestinal blockage Long ago we offered cow chew hooves to our dogs. After we noticed their teeth splitting that was discontinued. Some people like bull umm...lets call then chews but I have heard they give off a urine smell when wet and the idea just doesn't appeal to me. Greenies are hugely popular right now but a dog needs to be supervised so as not to actually break off a chunk and swallow it. My dogs don't want what they can't eat. The homemade dog biscuits are great for chews. There are many recipes online and you can also buy them at online auctions if you prefer not to make your own.

Yes, pigs ears are ok for any dog. Even better if the pig is attached. Dogs are a ancient animal and have at least 10,000 generations of geneitc breeding that was completely dependent on chasing, killing and eating other animals for food. Your little chihauhuas is no different. Actually you should try feeding it a small live mouse ounce in a while, that'll put the zip back into her life.

I'm kind of hoping you're a troll, but since the others have already advised you to rehome it, I'll give you a different piece of advice to go with it. You should buy a small, cozy dog house with a flap (this keeps weather and debris out) and install a heater. The dog should also have some blankets and it would be a good idea to get the house lined. If you can't do this or can't bring the dog back into the house, find her a new home.

The natural ones are. The rock hard treated things most pet stores sell are not. They can cause intestinal blockages, and some contain dangerous chemicals as well.
I'd skip the pig ears and rawhide and go with bully sticks instead. These are safe to chew on even if eaten.

I have a chihuahua, and it does not really matter what breed they are, pig ears are not good for them. Try a rawhide flip, those are great, but I wouldn't recommend you dog chewing on any animal parts. I hope this helped.

If you insist on giving your dog pig ears, go to the supermarket and buy some - plain not smoked and give it to the dog. Natural is ALWAYS the best way to go. The dog digests it a whole lot better. Natural raw food helps keep their teeth and gums free of tartar. Try veal bones too, A lot of marrow and very edible for a small dog.

Pigs ears are rawhide and rawhide can seriously bung up a dog's digestive tract. Try giving him a kong. They are without a doubt the best chew toy around. If your pup is teething you can give him ice cubes or make the cubes from boullion. My dog still begs for ice cubes, he actually licks his lips when I go to the freezer to get one for a drink.

Pig ears are super fatty. If the dog is eating a whole one in one sitting, It is absolutely not safe. Dogs, especially small ones, can suffer pancreatitis from pigs ears and DIE. Raw marrow bones are cheap and much safer (and healthier!)
