Yes, saving money is Biblical with the caveat that we are not to trust in our wealth, be miserly, or let money be our master.
Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous.
Luke 12:16 And he told them a parable, saying, "The land of a rich man produced plentifully, 17 and he thought to himself, 'What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?' 18 And he said, 'I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.' 20 But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?' 21 So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God."

It would depend why you are saving it. If you are saving for a 65 inch plasma tv, god would consider that a sin. Having anything more than you need is greed right? Greed is sin unless I am mistaken. The christian belief would most likely be that you should use the extra cash you have in a way to promote god, like feeding the homeless or donating it to the church. If you are saving for something that is a necessity, then it would be fine. I am just curious how many christians realize this, when they build their pools, and spend their money on ski vacations or hunting trips. I can just see them at confession, " God please forgive me for buying that pool, when I know it could have fed 5 hungry people for a year, but I just had to have it." I bet priest don't hear that one much. Deep down most religious folks are all hypocrites at heart, they try to hide behind one or two acts of goodwill. It's just one of the reasons I chose not to follow any of the BS religions out their.

I believe that is covered in a Christain teaching. " And, the Lord, helps those that help theirselves." One must remember though that in the times that the Bible was written people did not live long lives and most worked until they died. Today we must save money to retire, although, a great number of us will still work until we die.

Yes. Money isn't evil. It's what you do with it that matters. There are plenty of rich people who give their money generously, and some who hoard it. Money isn't evil. Even loving money. I'm sure every religious person (who also has a good heart) who is wealthy loves their money because of all the good they can do with it.Love of money isn't the same as greediness, & I beleive this is what the bible is talking about.

LOL...in what sense? Selling all that thou hast, and giving it to the poor, is "biblical." I suppose in this light, to "save money" is to keep money from the poor. But feel free to quote in rebuttal the verse(s) which directly contradict this.

Yes, it is...Parable of the talents. If you do not work, neither shall ye eat...it is the LOVE of money which is the root of all evil...not money itself. It is when you put your savings or your love for anything above God, that it then becomes sinful and that "carnal" thing becomes your god.

Yes.
EDIT:
The bible teaches us to be careful stewards of our blessings (including and especially money). We are to take care of out money so that it doesn't become a focal point in our lives (you know how obsessed you get about money when you're strapped for cash). It comes down to the basic principle, do you work for your money or does your money work for you?

No God wants you to invest your money so you can give him back more. Remember the proverb about the talents. He wants you to invest so your 10% is a larger chunk than if you just saved it.

What, you wouldn't dare consider saving money if it wasn't advocated in the bible? How do you justify using a computer?
EDIT: I seem to remember Jesus saying something about giving all your money away. If the bible also says to save or invest it, wouldn't that be yet another contridiction?
