i hated the anouncing they didnt even know how to announce mma. but i do like the idea of showtime bringing even more mma to the table

I like it,. The more mma events I can watch the better, and UFC already has a contract with HBO.

I think it'll be great for the MMA world. I guess they have ALOT of work ahead of them before they can be compared to UFC or Pride but at least they have a big TV deal to start out with. Now is when Pride needs to jump onto HBO before UFC does if the powers that be will fold and realize that boxing is dead and MMA is the wave of the future.

They have realized that it is gaining in popularity and want the ratings. If a MMA fan wanted to only have one pay channel (HBO, Showtime, Stars), they would be more apt to purchase Showtime as opposed to the competitors or even add it to their account.
