once you've a mini dv (cassette) camcorder…. Your dv camcorder needs a firewire connection (ieee 1394) with the intention to acquire video, your pc possibly did not contain a firewire port, so which think ofyou've got to purchase one and set up it, considering maximum pcs (except probably sparkling) do not contain a firewire port, your camcorder did not contain a firewire cord so that you need to purchase a cord too. Your camcorder did contain a USB cord and that is used for downloading stills out of your camcorder. make certain your digital camera is in playback mode. Use an effective modifying software.

If you haven't got the programme in your computer it won't download. If you haven't got the disc to download it from, you should google the brand of camera. Find the model that you have and get the download from them. If you have got the programme then take the camera and cable to the nearest camera shop and see if they can help you.

hook up the usb turn on the camera .

Have you downloaded the program that came with your camera .Open that & click on Aquire or it should tell you how & what to do some where in that program .
Or I some times click on my computer , you should see the name of you camera , click on it then on the left folder , then click on the folder in that . your pic's should be there . save them to your computer .
