I do not recommend going to Blackpool - it is the pits.
The Lake District would be beautiful in May.
If it must be a beach, look in Devon or Cornwall.

Just go, there will be loads. Incidentally there is a multi storey car park near the North Pier and Railway station which is cheap for the weekend

Pontins is tremendously much less high priced Me and my kin wanted to pass to the "tackiest place in the united kingdom" so we chosen blackpool and playes like £2 hundred for 6 people so in the journey that your going via your self or in smaller team could be particularly much less high priced!

Any of the gay b&bs -they're immaculate. We recently stayed at 'The Warwick' at North Shore-they were great!! That was a flatlet though, but there are tons in that area. Gay b&bs are so much nicer than ordinary prissy ones...they're clean, well run and really friendly.
