Freedom of speech and religion my dear. The Bible says we are to spread the gospel. You don't like it?? Maybe God is convicting your heart and you know that homosexuality is wrong. Read His holy word, then you're know why we want to save so many lost souls.

There's a fine line between speaking out and stepping on someone else's rights. I personally believe that anyone has the right to speak out about it, even though I don't feel that way because I AM gay, but then recently there is a group in the Midwest who attend the funerals of fallen soldiers from Iraq, and protest and generally disrupt these funerals, carrying signs against homosexuality and gay marriage. There is nothing connecting the two except very savvy publicity. They know this is a lightning rod issue, and they are willing to exploit a family's pain to promote their issue. In this particular case, I think they are violating and innocent family and friends funeral, and they should be stopped. The family also has their rights. This soldier is probably not gay and it has nothing to do with gay marriage or homosexuality in this country. Besides RIGHTS and LAWS, there is such a thing as basic human decency, and these vultures who prey on innocent families to promote their agenda are just wrong. Protesting agains gays and gay marriage is their right under the first ammendment, and they should not be arrested for that. If that happened, it would be a stepping stone in everyone losing their rights. It must be protected even if you don't agree with it, which obviously I don't.

They will never be arrested because their speech is protected by the First Amendment.
While I don't agree with those that speak out against homosexuality, I do support their right to say it.

Huh? You've got to be kidding, right? If we're very lucky, civil rights for homosexuals will reach the levels that have been achieved for women and for blacks. Do you see Rush Limbaugh being arrested for speaking out against women's rights? Do you see any racists being arrested for merely speaking out against the rights of blacks?

How long it will take until god will destroy all those people who are unrighteous? These next verses show that it will happen soon.
"But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth." - Thimothy 3:1-7
Our Creator established rules governing marriage long before governments began regulating the institution. The opening book of the Bible tells us: “A man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24) The Hebrew word “wife,” according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words, “connotes one who is a female human being.” Jesus confirmed that those yoked together in marriage should be “male and female.”—Matthew 19:4.
Thus, God intended marriage to be a permanent and an intimate bond between a man and a woman. Men and women are designed to complement each other so they may be capable of satisfying each other’s emotional, spiritual, and sexual needs and desires.
But why not all people respect what God let to be, what is natural? The Bible says that we are sinners, in conclusion imperfect. Imperfect people do imperfect things. Many times they don't think straight. Someone who falls into the sin of child sexual abuse or who gets involved with a person who has the same sex reveals an unnatural fleshly weakness.

Not long, you can get kicked off this site for calling them a slur and you can be punished financially if you speak against them and you play for the NBA, so I would say very soon. There is no freedom of speech in America where certain groups are concerned.

Why should they be arrested? -- there's no law against saying bigoted and hateful things.
Look around -- the culture wars are over and the throwbacks have lost. The current generation of voters may have been able to push through a dozen state constitutional amendments banning gay marriage; but those amendments are likely to be repealed in ten to twenty years, because the younger generation just doesn't care who goes to bed with whom and gays are coming out younger than ever before. This news item covers it:

It depends on what you mean by "speak out". If by speaking out, some christian harasses a homosexual, then the christian will get arrested right now. And I will support that arrest everytime.

you do realize that someone of a like mind, or equivalently similar mindset once said something to the effect of:
"How long do you think it will be before those who speak out against black-freedom, will be arrested? "
or "How long do you think it will be before those who speak out against women's right to vote will be arrested? "
just think about that a bit.
