I'd no longre be an atheist because there would be enough evidence to say there is a god - cos he/she would be stood right in front of me!
I'd apologise, state my reasons for doubting them and hopefully, if they were a benevolent universally accpeting God (which they should be) forgive me.
If this God gave us free thought then he/she should predict many of us may come to the wrong conclusion

First, when you say there "really is a heaven and a God", I expect you are also implying the common Christian belief that God will be damning me to hell for eternity, merely because I didn't believe the Bible to be true, and regardless of the fact that I have lived a good and compassionate life?
If you mean that, then I'd ask him why he gave me such a keen intellect, and a world with consistent natural laws that I and others could infer, and give me so little evidence that the Bible was anything more than the mythology of the ancient Hebrews. I'd ask him what enjoyment he gets out of deceiving his creation and then torturing them for not accepting the deception.
Of course, it will never happen. Your belief in the God of the Bible is a delusion. If you want to believe in a god, throw away your bible, and give some thought to what a loving an all-powerful god would be like, and then believe in that. Much less harm will come from such a belief, and it has a much better chance of being true.

I do believe in Gods...just not yours. Don't assume all "Non-believers" are atheists.
I would never bow down and worship him; I would rather be sent to Hell. His love is too conditional, it has too many strings attached. Any God that would burn people for all eternity for not worshiping him is not worthy of worship or respect. Only a truly sadistic mind could have dreamt up a place such as Hell in the first place.

From a Buddhist perspective there are deva realms and there are realms that resemble heaven, but after you burn out the good karma that got you there, you go elsewhere. Since the concept of an omnipotent creator god is wholly illogical to me, this hypothetical question is equally illogical. It makes absolutely no sense, and I'm not saying it to be mean, it just is as illogical as asking me to pretend I'm eating a sandwich made out of "nothing".

God doesn't know nuts about karma, he think he can save me just like that? I will just give him a look that says the above and move on to whichever way I'm destined to go. God himself will be left with his own deluded thinking that he either 'saved' me or condemned me to hell, or turn me into an animal or something else, depending on what happen to me afterwards.

I would remind god that although I did not believe in him/her/it, I still tried to be as good of a person as I could. Which is more than I can say for many religious people. Then I would tell him/her/it that being a good person is far more important than believing in god, so perhaps he should try to teach his people THAT, instead of fire, brimstone, and blind faith which has led to wars, murder and hatred.

well I *do* believe in God, but not *your* god, (almost certainly... I mean if your asking then... well, you get the idea?)
if I found out that christianity as most people believe it, was true,... like with an eternal hell and such... I'd happily walk myself right down there.
a God that would have an eternal hell such as most christians believe, is not worthy of my attention. period.

i would wonder what the point of the religion was in the first place, if god will offer salvation post-mortem. there would be no real point to worship durring life then would there.

If I died and found out that the god of whom our religions speak actually exists, I would be bitterly disappointed in God because I would turn out to be much superior to him.
