In my humble opinion, I think my knowledge stems from experience and physical evidence as much as is possible. I *am* aware that our sensory equipment isn't perfect in either a chemical or an electromagnetic sense, and that both drugs and possibly quantum level stuff (courtesy of the protons and electrons in our synapses, duh) can contaminate the results.
But, having said all that. :) I learned at a young age that *opinions* were implicitly about having an agenda, and were a signal that you were playing some manner of power game, trying to establish some form of mastery if not dominance. I also learned that the only way to "win the game" was to think for yourself, form *your own* opinions, and to have them be informed by the facts (experience and evidence, to the degree that it exists) as much as is humanly possible.
It was only later, as a grown man learning about public speaking, that I learned the names of the kinds of things that inform and reinforce an opinion: Logic and facts (logos), credibility (ethos) and emotions/shared passions (pathos). And in learning these things, I learned that logic and *facts* were supposed to hold sway where credibility did not, and that credibility was supposed to hold sway where emotional appeals did not.
That in other words...logic and facts are the Plan A, Credibility the Plan B, and emotional/impassioned appeals were to be Plan C. A last resort, not the first.
Pity so many other folks skipped class or slept through it, huh? Pity so many folks now disregard evidence outright and go *straight* for Shock And Awe these days.
What's the world coming to? (and no, it is NOT coming to an *End* dammit....if you SEE the End of Days coming, it will not happen. Look it up, it is that simple...yeesh, quit bleating at me already, will you?)

Knowledge cannot stem from opinion. It is an illogical question.

Knowledge stems from experience, however direct experience is impossible for humans because all we experience is filtered and projected through our reality tunnels.

experience, that's what makes us human, the ability to learn from our experience. I then draw my opinions from the knowledge I've gained through experience.

My knowledge stems from in-depth study and analysis, analytical thinking and logic, experience (since I have this morbid fascination about learning things by needing to walk a mile in their shoes as much as humanly poss.) and then more study.
