Avionics you can change. The value in this deal is the G IV with VERY low hours. 24 mil is a steal. The G IV is a tremendous airplane, too.

I have been in the private jet business for over 10 years. Your decision really depends on the type of flying you plan on doing. If, for example you have a requirement that you have to go non-stop between NY and Tokyo, then get the G550, etc. Here are some industry specifications for both the GIV and G550: http://www.jets.com/private_jets.aspx
I wouldn't trust many of the industry statistics used unless they can prove that they are "real-world"
You may also wish to talk to a consultant. Here is a great one: http://www.jetadvisors.com/
Good luck!

gulfstream should be able to help you on this. they have departments where they assist buyers/sellers of second hand aircraft.
otherwise you can contact aircraft management companies who can advise you. a lot of these companies are attached or have relationships with charter companies. they can also be a source of advice.
15000 hours doesn't necessarily mean bad - the g550 is a long range aircraft and can do 10 hour/intercontinental flights (eg London- Hong Kong) so hours do add up.
also consider the 'bling' factor with the g5 - 7 windows!
you need professional advice mate - you most likely won't get that on yahoo!
good luck

Is this something that just came on all of a sudden? Talk to the child. Get to the root of the problem. Are kids at school teasing or bullying him/her? Talk to teachers. How does the child act at school? Why the bad grades? Is it lack of concentration? Confusion with the subject? Not turning in work? I had a son who was doing poorly in 4th grade Math and science. When I asked him about it, he told me that it was too easy. He was bored. I told the teachers to challenge him more. They tested him and ended up putting him in excellerated classes. As far as the attitude troubles, the child may need more involvement. Try boy/girl scouts. They have a variety of activities. Church youth groups too. How about sports? All are great for expelling excess energy and working as a part of a team. Believe me, when you find something that the child is interested in, it will build self-esteem. When that happens, the attitude will change for the better.

G400 or G450? Compare G450 to your G-IV for specific compatible upgrades including Broad Band Multi-Link (internet), EVS, Honeywell Primus Epic avionics suite.

I would leave the HUD as is... try it out for a while and maybe you will learn to like it... if you realize you dont like it you can decide to change and then you will know what you dont like and can buy one that suits what you would prefer...

Are you for real???
Why are you asking this on Yahoo answers?? Talk it over with your crew, if you have one, cuz you it's apparent you won't fly this by yourself.
