well like any usual day, we let our dog come out to do their bussiness, in da front lawn, and den our dog somehow got on anothers nieghbor lawn, our dog bark and all, so den the house owner saw our dog and threw a a brick-ish like rock at our dog and it hit our dog, is dat dog abuse or is it self defense? all our dog did was bark at them and being on their lawn, even though our dog was just on their lawn, they should have swoosh them away, not hit them by throwing sumthing, the only reason they should throw or hit dogs will be because if our dog attack them right??

I have a hard time believing you are for real. If so you certainly are not a responsible dog owner. I am glad to know you are not my neighbor.

You and the neighbor were both in the wrong. Unfortunately your dog was punished for both of your mistakes. It is your responsibility to control your animal. The neighbor should not have struck your dog - unless it was self defense, or he felt threatened enough to defend himself.
Now, if your dog was a teacup poodle barking away at the neighbor we'd all be up in arms. If you've got some big brutish Pitbull or Rottweiler it's a different story. Unfortunately there is dog discrimination, although it sometimes well deserved, especially when the dog is not being controlled by it's owner.

Some people are just really afraid of dogs, but if your dog wasn't doing anything to harm them it definitely is considered dog abuse. You should take the dog to the vet to make sure hes okay and ask your vet what he/she thinks about it. You should really keep your dog on your lawn though, because not all people are dog lovers. But throwing a rock at a dog is abuse, the neighbor could have called you or rang your doorbell and asked you to keep the dog off their lawn

The fact of the matter is that you dog was on THEIR LAWN. If they felt threatened by your dog they had every right to do what they did, whether or not we think its wrong.
Most places have leash laws, and I'd be willing to bet that if you tried to involve police in this matter you'd be the one getting the fine for letting your dog run loose.
Its YOUR fault your dog had things thrown at it. Its YOUR responsibility to keep YOUR DOG CONTAINED.
Your dog is likely over in your neighbors yard quite a bit, and chances are they finally got sick of it.
If you can't be responsible enough to know you need to keep your dog from running loose, maybe you should rehome the dog.

I don't know. Remember that dogs kill something like more than 20 people in the US each year. So there is some reason to be afraid.
Hitting it with a rock is pretty unreasonable tho of course. As for the law I don't know.

this is totally dog abuse. But I wouldn't call your local animal protection group, unless that happens again. I mean, your dog was just barking. Dogs do that to live or else they'll be totally weird!

You need to use spell check and yes you are at fault for your dog not staying in his own yard. You did catch YOUR FAULT so they should have thrown the rock at you. Keep your dog on a leash or atleast in your own yard!
