Fill a glass coke bottle with boiling water. Place neck of bottle over boil. Upend bottle and hold there for as long as you can. When you downend the bottle, your boil will be easy to squeeze out, and you can apply raw honey to the area scalded by the boiling water. That's how my gramma took care of them.

I just went to the doctor yesterday and asked the same question. Her reply: STOP DRINKING SODA! I've used pills, medical creams and ointments, over the counter crap, etc. and of course, nothing has worked for me. I was even thinking of trying ProActive Solution you see on TV. But anyways, the doc said if I lay off the soda completely, my skin will start to improve. I used to have acne extremely bad but now it went down a lot. My only problem area is around my mouth. One other thing I do to keep my skin dry (I have oily skin): I go tanning a few times a week. This dries out my pores and has cleared up about 95% of my skin. And the benefit...you look great! The only bad thing is it greatly increases chances of skin cancer, and it's a pretty expensive treatment for acne. It's a win or loose situation, I guess. But that's what works the best for me so far. Now I will try to lay off the soda and see how much that helps. Hope this was some what useful. Good Luck!

When I went to school wiht my first one, I applied concealer and foundation, but it was on my chin and obvious with shadows, etc. My friends who were more experienced with pimples and stuff told me to:
Basically, grasp the white tip of it between your nails and pull or scratch to pop it. Grab tissues and squeeze out as much of the ... well, stuff coming out ... as possible so that the boil cannot build up again. It will be significantly smaller but pretty red, so again, concealer and foundation would be good to not attract attention to it.
Until it completely fades away (you may have to pop it once more) drink lots of water and eat leafy, green vegetables.
Although one fatty food isn't going to cause the explosion of boils, I do attribute the boil I had this week to me not taking care of my diet due to my business.

I covered the boil with those menthol pain patches (like thermacare) until the boil came to the surface and eventually burst. It wasn't pretty, but it worked.

Hot, wet compresses will also work well if done often.
