I believe that the name Lucifer in Isaiah 14:12 is used to refer to Satan's potential as a host of heaven before he was cast down from heaven. Lucifer was one of the great in intelligences before the world began, and had great potential to be a bringer of light and life to the world.
Despite his grand potential, Lucifer fell from heaven along with one third of the hosts of heaven. He has now become the father of all lies here to seek the misery of men all the rest of his days. He is directly opposed to those who have a testimony of Christ and seeks to make them and all mankind miserable like himself.
Hope that that answered your question.

He is often called Lucifer which is a Latin translation of "light bearer" found in Isaiah 14:12, and also the accuser of the brethren in (Rev. 12:10), dragon (Rev. 12:9), the devil (Matt. 4:1), the tempter (Matt. 4:3), the accuser (Rev. 12:10), the prince of demons (Luke 11:15), the ruler of this world (John 12:31), See Isaiah 14:12-15 for a description of the fall of the devil. Upon Jesus' return, the Devil will be vanquished -- depending on the eschatological position. His future is the eternal lake of fire.

Well, no where in a correct version of the Bible is Satan called Lucifer. Lucifer was some evil general in the Bible that somehow got connected to Satan. Eventually people started calling Satan "Lucifer."

christains have been taught that you cannot be better than god, and if you think for one moment you are, then zap, just like the four crown prince of hell they'll fall down unto his graces and serve an eternity in a burning lake of fire, now, if i was thinking that i was better than god, i would surely want my own personal hell, not one that is already set up and ran by an ex angel that was up there with god. so, with that conclusion, i would say that christian don't like lucifer because they don't have a chance at ever getting to be right up there next to god and they know that they'll end up in someone elses hell. kinda like the church of today, it's all about competition, who can be better than who.

Because Lucifer does not exist.
Funny - a belief in a being called "Lucifer" is particular to Churches descended from Latin roots. If you go to Greece and talk about Lucifer, Christians will have no idea what you are talking about.

Ok, you ask why we don't like Lucifer? Because he' Satan, the devil, the great deceiver, the father of lies, the author of confusion, plus he's evil. Lucifer is just one of his many names the Bible gives him. Oh and yeah, Satan wants to keep us from serving and loving God. Need any more reasons?

If you really knew who he is, you wouldn't like him either. Lucifer is the light of evil, darkness. Not the light of good.

Lucifer MEANS light bringer.
They're still unhappy with him because he rebelled against God but I think thats just part of growing up.
You get a bit older and think some more and then you say what the hell am I rebelling against anyway? God doesnt exist!
