my boyfriend just broke up w/ me and now I see what a total jerk he was. Sometimes, I REALLY want 2 rip his head off, too. the part I'm really confused about is why I really miss him. Hate him and want 2 rip his head off + miss him and want him back = CONFUSION. HHHHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is not love, but the habit of being with him what makes you miss him. Sometimes this habit can be very strong, and after a breakup one feels alone, like if you have to start your life again. But all that is normal, it's a period that you have to pass, so DON'T go back with him!! ...... keep your chin up and try to help yourself to overcome this pain: distract yourself, go out, do something that you enjoy, KEEP YOURSELF AS BUSY AS YOU CAN. If he is such a jerk do your best to fight the feeling of wanting him back, i think it is more that you want a boyfriend still but not one that is a jerk as nobody likes being alone again. Don't worry there is much better out there, save your dignity and do try getting him back. Move on , he missed out... not you

People miss the familiar (even if that familiar was unpleasant!).
You may want to find ways to occupy your free time right now (so you won't have so many opportunities to think about him). ........You don't really want him back ... you are just feeling a little unsure as to what to do with yourself right now.
FREE ways to keep yourself busy (and not think about what's his name):
***get items from the local library....books, videos, DVDs.
***do some volunteer work
***invite friends to come over (now that grouchy is gone, they're more likely to want to be over to visit)

Normal. My sis got beat nearly to death by a guy and went right back to asking me to pass (by court order) illegal messages back and forth when he was on work release from jail.
