I can relate to you because I have also been very self-conscious of my body for a long time (therefore I have been pretty conservative in terms of what I wear). I've tried starving or eating minimally, which is what you seem to be doing.
I think I have pretty huge thighs too, and it seems to have been hard to just make them reduce, so I've focused on other ways of making myself feel healthy so I wouldn't be overly focused on weight. For example, jogging/doing other cardio exercise has always made me feel good afterwards, and tones up my thighs so I feel less self-conscious about them. I'd also be sure to drink lots of water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Whatever you do, starving is not the long-term answer to your issue.
About the bathing suit, I'm assuming you're a female, because guys' bathing suits (aka trunks) cover the thighs. I'm sure you're not the only one with this concern, so maybe that will cheer you up. You can also wear waterproof pants over your bathing suit, saying you're cold, and only take them off if you absolutely have to.
Good luck! And please, have a more fulfilling lunch than chips (which probably are not that healthy for you, unless they're tortilla chips or something) and some water/fruit punch.

You need to have some protein at lunch and stay away from foods like potato chips and fruit punch. Have a turkey sandwich and some water. Just cause you don't eat a whole lot does not mean that you are eating healthy, nutritious foods that will do good for your body and keep the metabolism pumping. Are you eating sugary foods and drinks? That should be the first thing to go. My friend is very petite and just by cutting out soda she lost 15 pounds
Just be more aware of the foods you are putting into your body. Count your calories and use a website like http://www.fitday.com to keep track so you hold yourself accountable.
And yes, be happy the way you are and just know that you can and will change if you are committed to it.

1. No fatty food.
2. Eat 3 full, but healthy, meals a day.
(or for some people, 5-7 smaller, but still healthy, meals a day)
3. Regular activity, especially involving the legs in your case. Walking to relatively nearby places instead of driving there, cycling, etc...
4. Don't deviate from the plan or snack! Losing weight and living healthy are not temporary, they are a way of LIFE.

first of all cut the crap and fatty food. and try to have areal meal at lunch. or a granola bar or something if you don't want to eat too much. I mean just because its a bag of chips and a drink at lunch doesn't mean you will lose weight your better off eating something healthier. Second of all I suggest some daily excersize like a bike ride or a walk or even a short hike or something that gets you going instead of lying around all day. Watch what you eat though too little of a fatty food than a meal won't work!

Walk - long, fast strides. Also if you are into exercises, there are exercises for the thighs. Simple one is to get on hands and knees and kick your foot back and up as high as you can. One foot at a time with about 25 reps. To me walking is the best. 2 miles a day or at least 1/2 hr. of rapid walking.

Put on your ipod, and go for a walk, even half and hour everyday is good. Also if you have access to a gym, try doing some lunges, good for your butt, and thighs. You also have to concentrate on allover exercise, not just the bottom half. Your muscles are fused together, and they are work together......so find an allover program. But if not, try te walk, better if you could find a hill and walk it.
