i am very outgoing and talkative with friends but when i happen to like a guy i become extremely quiet around him (my friends all notice the differece and tell me that its just really obvious) why is that..i want him to see that i am a fun person not a shy, quiet girl. how can i change tht and why do i act like this in the first place?

I was always the same way when I was dating. I think it's because when you really like someone, it suddenly seems so much more important to make a good impression. It matters to you what they think of you.
Try take the pressure off yourself by getting to know them as a friend first... and if it turns into something else, so much the better.

OK first thing be yourself don't be some thing you are not, start talking first like he was your friend see if you two like the same things and see if you don't like the same things get to know the person he is first then let him get to know you.
if there is a spark there it will happen in time just don't rush in
most of us guys believe it or not like a mysterious woman someone who we can try and work out and see what she likes not just jump into bed with.
just take ya time and have fun getting to know each other first.

That is like how i used to be and well i still am when my hubby comes near me...tee hee...i am so giddy. Everyone used to see me get all different when i liked someone, i would suddenly become so "innocent" and "sweet", even shy. It is because somehow all the B.S. you seem to put out comes to a halt and like you said you want them to see the real you, and the real you is not the B.S. you portray with everyone else. Perhaps you need to re-evaluate who you really are babe.

You act that way because your not sure how he feels about you and it makes you nervous and self-concious. All you have to do is realize that if you don't put your real charisma forward he will never know how fun and outgoing you really are. Don't worry about rejection just put yourself out there. You need to boost your confidence around him. if you do he might start to see the fun in you and realise that you are a very fun and exciting girl he is never going to know if you are just shy around him

o god.. i had the same thing... not jus me many grls r like this.. they get too quite n too shy when it comes to guy's they like.. i happen to mess things up.. i mean i can talk n everything but i say things that r silly or things that don make sence at all...
well all u gotta do is.. jus pretend he is ur friend... think of him as any other guy.. i mean forget that u even like em.. try to be ur self.. forget that he's there... jus be ur self.. that's all i can say...

Aww, I feel you completely. The only way I was able to talk around the guy I like was by dissing this huge black kid and joking about him being gay, and the guy I like kept on giving me high fives and telling me I was cool. So try out group situations, pretend you don't like the guy, try stupid, stupid small talk. Talk about tests, upcoming breaks and so on.

its because u dont want to ruin ur chances so as a natural reaction ur body makes you shy
just dont worry about screwing up just be urself and remember if he cant love u for who u are there is no reason to love him

this shows that you are a nice persson , what you need to do is to tell your self , that you are infront of that man and you do not know yet if there is future with him , he can`t be better , we are all just the same
