For example, the bible, both old & new testaments, even before the Law and also after the resurrection of Christ,....has been very clear that homosexuality is an abomination and that those who live in that lifestyle will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. Yes, God can forgive if a person stumbles & repents, but someone who is totally unrepentant of the gay lifestyle is absolutely not a christian -- by the BIBLE's standard of measure : it talks about these things plainly. Still, there are groups purporting to be "gay christians" with so-called church denominations supporting that error. If they don't want the truth, they should call it something else, not a "church." That's like saying you are a farmer raising a flock of dogs, you go fishing for yaks or you're trying to mate a monkey with a fish to raise penguins. Its is total nonsense. How about being honest? You really aren't a christian if you love & practice homosexuality or lesbianism. Ask God to help you !!

It seems to me that the bashers are really bashing those Christians who claim to have a heart but are really bigots in disguise. What happened to "love for all men" does that mean love in your heart for all men except; gays, lesbians, blacks, Jews, Muslims, etc, etc. You know what I mean.

There are true Christians out there, though I'm not one of them, I do respect them, and if they are a true Christian they will respect others for what they are. I'm not gay, lesbian, Muslim, black or a Jew, I'm a white hetero Wiccan man, do you still respect me?

These are the same people that will stand at that day and declare, "Lord didn't I ......", and the Lord will answer, "Depart from me you worker of iniquity, for I do not know you."

Ask as many people as you'd like this quesiton: "Do you know President Bush?" Most will answer "yes", though they have never met him. Even those that have met him may answer "yes", though they have not become his friend. That takes time. That takes a relationship.

A "Christian" has a relationship with Jesus Christ. All others, regardless of title (ie gay-christian), do not have a relationship. If they did, they would understand the requirements of that relationship, and cease the practice of their sin.

There is a difference between some one who sins, a sinner, and an ungodly person. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Those that have accepted the forgiveness of their sins, and turned away from that lifestyle are in the catagory of "those that sin". Those have may have accepted foregiveness, but remain in the lifestyle of sin and have not stopped sinning, are in the catagory of a sinner. Those that have not established a relationship with Jesus Christ are those that are in the catagory of the ungodly.

Seek a relationship, and the lifestyle of sin will become distasteful.

Ok, I do agree that homosexuality is a sin- however there are many other things that make us sinners as well- NO ONE, living in ANY .sin , can inherit the kingdom of heaven, without repentance and accepting Christ as Savior. I agree that if you go to a "gay" church you are living in sin- but how about the person who claims to be Christian and single and has sex with the opposite sex, is that not a sin as well? I do not agree with the homosexual lifestyle but let us remember before we cast the first stone- what sin are we holding onto and calling ourselves Christians?

Depending on who's doing the bashing, they're attacking both groups. But here at Y/A, they'll unite against anyone who mentions homosexuality in a negative way.

It is somewhat chic these days to say that homosexuality is not a sin because Jesus did not specifically mention it. But it is specifically discussed in the OT and Jesus did say that he did NOT come to overturn the OT. So that attitude is not Biblically accurate, but more politically correct.

People who follow Jesus are incapable of living without sin, but if you're not denying yourself the pleasure derived from blatant sin, you're not trying to follow Jesus.

P.S. People here are saying Christians don't/won't love a gay person. That is unfair. If I say robbing a bank is a sin, nobody bashes me for being an anti-bank robber bigot.

I do not know what you consider christian-bashing. And I agree that the pretended Christians are those who should be harshly criticized.

I consider homosexuality abnormal when the partners participate in sexual activities. Some homosexuals grew up with a tendency to distrust the opposite sex. We should not force them to revert but to help them psychologically. There are also homosexual couples that prefer to live that way based on convenience to care for each other as in older aged couples. Religion may help, but religion is not the only answer.

What I keep trying to say is religion can be good if religion can teach people not to be selfish. Conquering selfishness is a big battle.

You must be new. Many mainline churches are unwillingly to give up tax-write offs that make media ministers millionaires. Legally they are now obliged to accept gays as they are, or else lose tax write offs. United Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopalian, and United Methodist have all changed their doctrines and have gay groups organizing in their churches.

American christianity has become a whorehouse.

Don't preach. You're ignorant.

I think it both to tell the truth christian blushers attack other Christians and they judge them. some christian and non christian are homosexuality which Christians bashes it is wrong to talk and judge other people short comings. The other thing slander which is also blushers and talking about gays, women, Jews, why don't people just tell the truth instead of brushing people. why are people faking to be christian the truth is to make themselves to look good. why do they people Christians brushing other people it because they want to show they better than everyone.

I agree with you. It is really something else the way a person is attacked on here for telling the truth too. Both by supposed Christians and the others.

Okay, so you are arguing that it is irration for a person to be gay and a christian. Biased, yes, but not totally wrong. However, to aruge that it is a contradiction is a contradiction in itself. The bible is an illogical, absurd book full of contradictions, so to argue your point with the bible as your evidence is ridiculous. LEt people do what they want. Being gay is their choice and you have no right to judge.

Gee, I don't know where to begin on this one...

As a non-churchgoing and heterosexual Christian I can say this:

I define grace as God's unconditional and everlasting love for everybody, regardless of gender, race, religion, or SEXUAL PREFERENCE. Therefore, it's impossible to reasonably believe that God can see anything of, or by, or pertaining to, humanity, as an abomination. You appear to be blinded by a combination of your faith and your apparent ignorance of the nature of homosexuality. Let me clear it up:

HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT A CHOICE! Therefore, it cannot, by definition, be a sin.
