T, you look good with the halo thing...
I think that if you put a charismatic believer and a rabid atheist in a room together, that might provide some valuable "perpetual motion."
Jaw motion, anyway.
There might be a way to tap off the energy and at least run a blender to make margaritas.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE. That said, no, the universe is NOT a perpetual motion machine. Depending on the mass of the entire universe, it might either expand forever, and end in a cold death, whereby everything basically freezes over to something really close to 0 kelvin. Or it will expand, and then stabalize, and then contract again and end in the big crunch.

The universe is NOT a perpetual motion machine. Even in nature, in space, SOME energy is always lost - no supernova or star forming region can be 100% efficient. Eventually, enough will be lost that they universe can no longer support star formation. It's the first AND second laws of thermodynamics.

Not perpetual motion... Entropy increases.
We cheat, for now, because the Earth is fuelled by the Sun.
"The energies of our system will decay, the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race of man which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit and all this thoughts will perish." A J Balfour.

the main reason perpetual motion machines fail on earth is because of gravity and it's effects on the machine. in space gravity would pull all the planets and solar systems together and cause another big bang so it will never fail.

I don't think so, nice halo by the way :P. I read an interesting story about the halo...When sun-worshipping pagan Romans professed conversion to Christianity, they introduced the halo into Christian imagery.
