Its not the best, in fact i can think of better colours:)
Paint ur room grey, lavender, apple white, rather than pink. U can also have a textured wall , painting the other 3 or 2 walls another colour.
make sure u dont use a solid pink, make it patterned, in pastel colours if u like for the carpet or rug.
Pink looks good with white, off white, beige, grey, bluish grey,purple/lavender/mauve. Try these combinations to give u more ideas.I like beige with different shades of pink, ranging from light pink to slightly darker.

If you're over 10 years old, then that is a bad idea. Pink is best when used sparingly - it is one of those colors that if used too much it gets to be annoying and after a few months you will get sick of your room. If you like it that much, go with a pastel pink for your walls - stay away from hot pink. And to decorate you could have white furniture since white goes well with pink, and certain accents can be a bit more saturated with pink, but don't go overboard.

When I was a child my bedroom was pink, I had pink bedcovers and curtains and pink carpet and it was too much pink. If you must have pink, I would suggest picking one. All that pink will be overwhelming and make your room boring to look at.

A very subtle shade of pink on the walls might look nice, but I would keep your carpet a neutral color.

Try pink on two opposite walls and a shade of pink on the others. The Dulux hints range are quite good and there is a hint of blossom shade that could take the edge off too much pink.
I am an interior decorator and have used this combination to great effect.

In my last house, I painted over pink wall paper with bright pink paint. I had pink curtains, red carpet with a red rug over it and dusky pink three piece. My bed room had pink walls, pink bedding and pink blinds and I loved it.

To pot with other people (unless others in the house seriously object but I didn't have that problem), you live in the house, you have to stare at the walls so you have it the way you like it.

That could be a bit overwhelming. I had my carpet, wall, and bed covers all pink.. when I was like, 5. It could be OK if they are different complimentary shades of pink, but if it isn't done right, it will come off looking very little girl-ish.

I would definetely go with a soft cream. That way, the pink will break up a little. Try adding other colors into the room with pillows and accessories. Dark brown, tan, light brown, or even leopard go beautifully with pink. Hope the room turns out to your liking!

I'd paint the walls white to avoid pink overkill. It'll provide a contrast with the pink.
