Will it be possible to cover up a tattoo that has blue and red colors, i have a tattoo of a singer of about 10 inches long and I was thinking of covering up with a tattoo made with black ink in the parts that have blue and red colors

Yeah it should be ok as long as you use a darker color ink, which in your case is more than likely going to have to be black. Just make sure your tattoo artists has experience with cover-ups as they can be tricky. Ask to see his/her portfolio, cause if you use someone who doesn't know how to do cover-ups it could end up looking worse in the end. Best of Luck and hope your new tat is one you'll love the rest of your life.

Black is NOT the answer to your coverup!! Black does not cover everything. Putting black over black makes the original darker. So the linework around yours with the panther idea would end up as a big black panther with a singer outline in it.

Purples and Greens work well for cover ups but essentially you can use any colour with the right design. Lots of movement and linework breaks up and camouflages your old design. The idea is to fool the eye into looking at soemthing else instead of picking out the old design.

Go see an artist for ideas, as without beign able to see it suggestions here are pretty meaningless.

it may not be necessary to cover the parts you are wanting to color with black. do you want to get a whole different tattoo? or are you just wanting to change the colors? black will cover any color. but it's not the only color that will cover old colors. the best thing you can do is go to someone who is an experienced coverup artist. NOT every tattoo artist is talented and certainly not every one is good at doing coverups. i have seen some amazing coverup work but i have also seen some horrible so be careful who you go to.

Yes, you'd be able to cover that up... what do you want to cover it up with? You could get laser to lighten it if you wanted. Just consult with an artist who's had experience in coverups. With 10 inches, you could have a huge black panther... but that's rather cliche as a coverup.
