From person experience, if I don't believe a particular version of Christianity I'm roundly condemned to hell-fire. Is that what Christians talk about as a loving religion?

To catholic, i'm not makig this up. i was a christian but each denomination has condemned me just because i express my view that i should be able to go to whatever church i want. Catholics have said if a i go to protestant church i follow a man made religion and protestants say i will go to hell for following a anti christ run church if i go to a catholic church. i've left 3 churches because of this and if i have expressed a belief that i have my own mind and dont have to accept what a pastor or priest says im told ive the devil working i me.
I thought brain washing was from centuries ago. But Ive found personally that Christianity is still a religion of making people fearful of God unless someone believes a particular churches doctrines.
I belong to a religion of God. Not man made doctrines

No, Christians should not force their beliefs on others. We cannot make people believe, only God can do that by His grace. By a loving religion we mean that we believe God died to save us ALL so that we can go to Heaven. We are ALL sinners and ALL deserve to go to Hell. The only way out is by accepting Jesus' free gift of His death on the cross for us- He took our punishment. But you don't get a gift unless you accept it- you can't get salvation unless you accept it.

First of all, only some Christians maintain that non-beievers go to hell.
Second, they can beieve anything they want - that is not "forcing your beliefs on others," it is free speech and freedom of religion. If you want an example of forcing your beliefs on others, look at the former Soviet Union - you could expect to spend the rest of your life in a Siberian gulag for driving across the border with a Bible in your glove box. Thank God (or Christians, if you want to be honest about it) that you live in a country where people CAN'T force their beliefs on you. Ironically, the tremendous freedom that you enjoy is exactly why you have no idea what "forcing beliefs" really is.

Hi, no one has the right to condemn you. If there are parts of Christianity you don't believe or understand, you must be able to express this without anyone telling you that your wrong...maybe you have only met Christians who have a lot of growing to do, and haven't learnt they can't change anything about you. Only the Holy Spirit can show you the truth. It's easy to forget we are no different from anyone else, we are saved through the grace of God and not because we're better than anyone else..

There could be any number of reasons why SOME believers will try to convince you of their beliefs. Some good, some bad. Some may wish you the best and as they believe that what they believe in is the best, they want you to have it too.
Whilst christianity is a loving religion, not all Christians are loving.

I'd be interested to know if they are actually forcing you to practice their particular denomination or just encouraging you to follow its doctrines? I think that some genuine Christians would like to see their fellow man not suffer eternal separation from God, and thats why they're trying to encourage you to have faith... but are they actually FORCING their beliefs on you? Or do you just feel guilty after listening to their speeches?

True Christians do not force anybody, but many of the worlds religions ALL man made and that's FACT, many are controlled by man to control others, true faith in God what ever name you want to give him comes from within, and with it comes Love, and understanding, not force, not hate, and not killing

I'm unaware of Christians coercing people to accept their beliefs. Argument, on the other hand, even when offensive, is free speech protected by the Constitution.

Because they misinterpret Christianity and want you to follow their own literalistic and exclusivist beliefs. True Christianity is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and accept the Comforter who was promised to appear.
