Wrap it up throughout the day ( unless you are going somewhere), make sure it isn't tangled, you can buy sprays and grease to make sure it doesn't dry out.

DAY TO DAY

FEED THE SCALP Both artificial and human-hair extensions prevent optimal moisture from reaching your own hair. Just as a plant benefits if you feed the root, your hair can benefit from scalp treatments. Try massaging one in a few days a week. We use The Jane Carter Solution Scalp Nourishing Serum or Head & Shoulders Soothing Lotion for Dry Scalp Leave-in Treatment.

TREAT IT LIKE IT'S YOUR OWN Condition your weave, moisturize it, comb it out regularly, If you want your weave to last beautifully, you have to take care of it.

WEEK TO WEEK

DEEP-CONDITION weekly after every shampoo, and pay special attention to your own hair underneath. We recommend purchasing a dropper and vitamin E oil to distribute between your rows of tracks or braids to condition the natural hair underneath. This regimen will prevent knotting and lessen the shedding that occurs when the extensions are removed .

KEEP IT DRY After you shower, shampoo or swim, make sure your natural hair underneath is completely dry Bacteria and mildew can grow if the hair remains damp for a long time.

MONTH TO MONTH

MOISTURIZE before you remove your extensions. This will help cut back on shedding. Try Vitapointe Protect and Shine Daily Hairdress or Take Down Hair Moisturizing Cream for Removing Braids and Locks.

KEEP IT UP See your stylist every three weeks so he or she can groom and restyle your extensions.

BE TIMELY Never leave extensions in for more than three months. Hair can lock and even atrophy when you leave them in for too long.

To keep you're weave looking fresh, wrap it at night and cover it with silk or satin scarf. Oh, and generally you do not wash it, it depends on the type of weave you have. If you have yak hair then you could, but you have to blow and straighten it.
