I've been drinking a crystal light type drink alot and now it seems that my teeth have no enamal on them (I've stopped drinking it---only water now)...also made lines in my teeth...and in certain parts are partially stained brown (it's sooo disgusting:()...(I really examined my teeth yesterday and was shocked to see how gross they really got...I do brush twice a day)....I'm just curious if anyone knows what a dentist could do to help me...besides a regual exam...would it be just whitening....or what about the enamal? I'm just afraid because of what it did...it will cost me hunderds or thousands of dollars to fix...anybody know any info about this? Thanks a lot (I'm just freaking out a bit:)

I haven't been able to find a full nutritional breakdown of Crystal Light. However, it does boast of 100% Vit C daily requirements, which is ascorbic acid, so damage to the enamel layer is quite possible. It would depend how often and how much you drank.
Normally chemical erosion of teeth takes months or years to become noticeable to a patient. Even then, it is not a stain or line that appears.
I'd suggest you go see a dentist or hygienist - it may not be as bad as you imagine.
But stick to plain TAP water anyway - much better for your teeth and general health than these overpriced lolly waters or bottled waters.

Not likely that Crystal Light removed enamel, most likely its just stains. Crystal light is niether acidic or has sugar in it so its just not likely enamel gone. If enamel is gone it will never come back. Best bet is a dentist or hygenist trying to remove the stains and possibly whitening. If this doesnt work then you are looking at vaneers or crowns to cover the teeth so start saving some money. But it sounds just like staining, try a professional cleaning and some bleaching stuff, they are all the same, only two different types of ingredients, carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide the only difference in all of them is the strength/concentration and the way they are applied to the teeth.

Yeah this is a now no longer worry-unfastened concern. He might want to be coming onto to you, or he might want to rather be a type of easily gentle feely incredible human beings. i does now no longer factor out it because of the actual fact it would want to rather get awkward, i might basically circulate to a different dentist.

MIMI,
IT APPEARS TO ME THAT YOU NEED A GOOD CLEANING AND POLISH OF YOUR TEETH BY A DENTIST. IF YOU HAVE DAMAGED ENAMEL, THE ONLY WAYTO RESTORE IT IS TO HAVE THE DENTIST RELACE IT. YOU NEED TO SEE A DENTIST TO FIND OUT YOUR OPTIONS.
