I want to print out address labels for my wedding invitations, but I haven't seen anything saying that this is okay? I have seen that you either write them by hand or hire a calligrapher. Any advice?

If you are going to have an extravagant wedding then...go for it. If not then I wouldn't. A lot of people will take the invitation as a hint of how to dress and what type of wedding it will be.

Etiquette-wise, you shouldn't use labels for wedding invitations. This is a big event that deserves special treatment. You can get the return address printed on the envelopes for an extra fee when you order your invitations, so that's half the work that's already done for you. If you have the money, you can have a calligrapher address them, which looks really nice. On the other hand, if your writing is really bad and you can't find anyone to help you, no one would decline the invitation because you used labels. I think a better alternative would be to print the addresses directly onto the envelopes, because then you don't have that actual label stuck on there - printing on the envelopes looks less tacky. It's up to you, but I wouldn't recommend using labels. They're too impersonal and corporate.

Instead of labels consider downloading a fancy font and then printing each envelope individually. When we got married it took 2 hours, 175 invites and the envelopes looked beautiful, as if they had been done by hand. We used something called Edwardian and it was very scripty and loopy! Good luck. It also looks nice if you get the envelopes hand stamped. Our postoffice gave us a cancelor and let us do it ourselves (they were really busy) It was fun to do and looked nice

This is your wedding and you can do whatever pleases you. Try printing directly onto the envelope itself in the fancy font. I believe that will look so much better.

I think it would be perfectly fine. Use a nice font that goes with the invitation somehow, and you're set.
Just no preprinted thank you cards (that was a question from someone earlier this week).

It's your wedding so ultimately you should do as you please. I had mine handwritten. My mom has pretty writing so she addressed them and wrote the return address on the back. Have fun!
