I was able to eat pretty much anything I wanted, then about 2 years ago I started getting heartburn every time I drank orange juice or ate anything with tomatoes in it. Even if I avoided the foods that flared it up, I still ended up nauseous. Now, pretty much every time I eat I get a sick, dull pain in my upper abdomen just below and slightly to the left of my breastbone, in between my ribs. If I bend over I nearly vomit, and have actually vomited before because of it. It's not that I'm eating too much, I eat regular portoin sizes and rarely eat seconds. I ate lasagna tonight and felt like I was going to faint, it hurt so bad. It was dull pain, but it felt kind of like someone was putting out a cigar in my stomach. I don't have any blood in my vomit or anywhere else, and I still have somewhat of an appetite, although I'm getting to the point that I don't want to eat at all just to avoid the nausea. I don't want to have an ulcer, but I'm afraid that's what it is. What do you think?

Some foods I can't eat: bananas, oranges, orange juice, tomato sauce, certain kinds of dairy (especially in the morning), onions and some meats (like sausage)

You need to see a gastroenterologist and have some tests done.
With the medicines available today, they can have you happy again in no time. See your doctor this week and start the process. Good luck!

This could be an ulcer, or could just be acid reflux. Your doctor could tell you better. Either way, there are medications that you can take to help relieve this, and considering how much pain you are in, I would suggest you talk to your doctor about getting some.

Sounds like you need a doctor to rule somethings out like: -gall stones, or low ejection fraction, can be detected with a hyda scan and ultra sound -pancreatic inflamation -tight stomach sphincter, which can be stretched periodically Sounds like you have the last one, need to be coped to find out for sure but the people I have heared getting it done are happy after.

Well it's not an Ulcer I don't think. You could be like me, you have trouble with citric acid and everything you mentioned has it. You may acid acid reflux. Have your doctor check you out and he/she can probably prescribe you something. It could also be asophogealitis(sp?). It means that the valves at tthe top of the asophogus has weakened and let lettign the acids through instead of stopping them and keeping them down. Either way see a doctor.

Be careful-it sound like you have food allergies to me! Especially to tomato's, citrus & milk. The way you describe it is just like I used to feel-awful! In some cases you can get way worse-see an allergist if you can at all!

This is most likely GERD and you need to get it checked out by the doctor. Left untreated it can cause esophogeal erosion which is serious.
