what works for some people doesnt work for others, and because you mentioned that you have been on all kind of meds...then maybe you should check out therapy.....
I have found specifically cognitive therapy opposed to just the regular therapist who does the norm "fruedian" therapy to work best for me with my anxiety. maybe research cognitive therapy to see if its something that you think would help you.
also there is lots and lotsof info about mediation and anxiety so maybe you could try that.
anxiety is pretty debilitating for some people, but it doesnt have to last forever and it is curable. you do not have to just "live with it".

First of all, do you have panic attacks also? You have not been on the right meds...there are several newer medications for anxiety, depression and panic. If you get the right one, you will start to feel like a different person. Paxil works for both depression and anxiety...most people with anxiety also suffer some from of depression. Zoloft is another good med, but it takes about 5 weeks to notice a big difference. The trick is having the doctor also prescribe a temporary anxiety drug until the main med gets into you're system. A good anxiety is Klonopin..only have to take once a day vs. xanax which makes you drowsy and have to take several times a day. Also start doing some form of exercise..I know at first this is the last thing you want to do...but it does start increasing seretonin intake and relieving stress. Sit in soft candlelight, using aroma candles, soft lighting, soft music in the background and deep breathe. Inhale deeply through you're nose making sure that you're tummy is expanding, hold for a count of 5, then slowly exhale through you're mouth. do this several times thinking only of the breathes you take. This should help...I've been there so I understand...Good luck

People are SOOO insensitive!! Dont answer if you have nothing good to say,I know how anxiety can be I suffer from it also,Its a daily struggle I know. When you are in a crowd of people you just have to tell yourself, these people are interested in doing what they gotta do,no one is any better than you,so I think for that its alot of self talking, therapy maybe, Walking or any kind of excersice to wear off some of the anxiety,You can look into accupuncture, and vitamin supplements for nerves,I know everday i keep trying to figure out why I am so anxious,I wonder if its the meds they have me on or premenapause or all the abuse I have been through in the past, its a constant struggle, maybe you can come up with some solution or I should say plan that helps you to live with it more managable,Drink lots of water too,Sounds like you have a social anxiety and you might want to explore where the roots of that came from. This problem seems to affect an awful lot of people I research it almost everyday on the computer in some form in desperation of how to solve it myself goodluck to you and you are not alone.

Me personally, I think of the possible worst scenario that could happen to me. For instance, could I die from the potential problem I am in anxiety about? More than likely not, then that seems to lesson my anxiety. I use to have anxiety over driving in new towns or new surroundings, I would feel dizzy and it scared the heck out of me, so finally one day it just went away by time of thinking over and over again what was the worst thing that could happen in this situation, Well I could get lost, okay what would be my solution? Go find a phone and call someone I knew and ask them how to get back home. I never did get lost though, it was just anxiety or fear. Hope this helps. No longer have anxiety, never wanted to use medications, But then again yours may be worse than mine was, so I am not judging, but try something different and try not to medicate if you don't have to.

Medication can help once you are on the right med. It is not the only answer. You need to get to the route of the problem. What is causing the anxiety? What brings them on? The other part of the treatment is counseling. Seeing a therapist or counselor it the second part of the treatment. It can take a while to get to the route of the problem. If you are holding anything in not talking about any problems you may have and if you have been doing this for a long time. This could be a part of it and the counselor and you can get to the route. Don't give up. There is hope. Good Luck God Bless Bruce

You cannot stop anxiety until you find out what is making you react in such a way.I myself dealt with anxiety and I learned to deal with it by writng down every moment or experince that caused me to react harshly.I noticed negative people around me so I limited my contact with them.I probably would have cut off all contact but they are family but that does not mean you have to take in all their crap.Just focus on what is important and learn to relax.

Hi there, I just laugh about my past 3 years of panic now. I was not able to go anywhere without carrying xanax. Fear of having another attack was the most important subject of my days. When i first found joe barry's web site i started to cry because of my happiness.

Read up on it. Some people can get away with deep breathing. Others such as myself need prescription med. There is no one way or best way it all about the person. You may also want to try therapy to find the root of whats causing it!! Good luck and God Bless.

Rigorous Exercise!!! It did it for me the other day. Self-talking myself out of it. People don't mean harm, they are kids who are just tryingt o make in this world. They want to be accepted so that they could fit in with the crowd. They are not any different than I am. They are still human.
