...that's really not true. If that's happening to your friend, it's a crime. Phone childline. NO true mosque would do this.

Here is some back round info on Mosques. No, mosques aren't bad. The people that attend mosques and read from the Koran aren't bad. It's just a faith that has come to be stereotyped in the US as terrorists, and that is absolutely horrible. There are Muslims, then there are Radical Muslims. The Radicals are the ones who are causing all of the terrorism in todays world. They are the ones who have put this bad reputation on the Muslim faith and The Koran. If you are believing that Mosques and The Muslim faith are bad, you must be insinuating that Churches, Cathedrals, and Synagogues are bad, right?
Now, if your friends are being abused in the specific place of worship. Call the Cops ASAP. They may have different beliefs, and hitting a child may be ok in their faith, but in America, hitting and abusing a child is a crime. Don't assume anything. Just tell the closet adult and get help. Good luck.

Wow, I still am floored by the biases and hatreds that some of you hold. Why would you think a mosque is bad (I'm reading evil)? Not to say that priests haven't screwed little boys and girls or pastors haven't done the same or anyone else for that matter.
Human beings have flaws regardless of where they come from....
I just get really irritated with the levels of bigotry layered into a simple problem, one of abuse. The appropriate authorities should be called and the person doing the abusing should be investigated and brought to justice. Period. Many blessings people.

ur first question is are mosques bad or not??
u are asking as if are churches, syngogues, bad or not.
a mosque is the muslims place to worship so they ARE NOT BAD.
ur story and ur 2nd question relates to an incident that is apprently happening at a nearby mosque.
ive grown up going to a mosque and hav visited various ones. they are not bad and i hav never seen, been, or heard of hitting ANYONE done by anyone going to a mosque.
if it is true someone is beatin muslims then u need to help the muslims that are getting hurt by informing parents, etc and if it is serious calling childline or child abuse or w/e u hav.
clean the world from extremisits and ur helping everybody including muslims.

I have a very hard time believing what you say is true. I'm sorry. By mosque do you mean Islamic school? Even if you do, I still am not sure. Where do you live? If you TRULY feel they are being abused, you need to contact the police. They have to investigate it.

Can you please get your facts right, it's not Mosques, it's people who teach kids to read the Qur'aan and learn it. And it's called discipline, so they will work harder, and try their best.
I've been through it myself, but it's something that you have to understand. It's not a minor thing making mistakes in reading the Qur'aan, it's something realy, extremely important. We do have to get every word correct, with the correct pronounciation. You have to understand this.
And no, you have no right to call the childline to sue them or something, that's not allowed. It also has nothing to do with you. Once they start learning, they know they are going to get hits if they make mistakes, but some people do a bit too much. But you can't do nothing. Leave them as they are. This is best for them, because a lot of kids mess about when they are supposed to learn, and get hits.
So please try to understand.

From where are u and which location ur talkin abt.... Genreally mosques are like schools where they teach Quran for students( childrens) so if the students did anything wrong then the Teacher would have right to scold the students so that they can larn the things in a discipline manner but the teacher shuld scold in the legible manner which is in the limits of Islam.... and reg abt ur frnds u can go and consult with the particular teacher y they did so and ask for the explanation....

You do need to call an authority. I live in Milwaukee and not a single one of the mosques here does that. I know from my niece going there and my step nieces and nephews. They are not even spoken harshly to. If they are committing acts of child abuse, you need to do something now. BTW, if another answerer looking like me happens to answer with a hateful or insulting answer, ignore her. I'm being stalked at the moment and cloned, and as a result of her getting deleted, my percentage is skyrocketing :)

This is disturbing to know! if your friends are being bruised in such a way then yes call the childlline. but I hope your not making this stuff up. There is enough nonsense going on in the world with out wind-up questions. Mosques are good for the people who want to go there. They go for a reason and its not for us to question.I hope your friends are well and not really hurt.
