She doesn't have any particular hobbies or anything, so I just want some ideas for things that any girl would like, but wouldn't be too expensive or personal at this stage in the relationship. Thanks.

Does she like music? Put together a CD of her favorite songs. Flowers? Jewelry could be really tricky... there's always some sort of meaning attached, so I'd stay away from that for now. What are her interests? Some sort of little Hallmark trinket representing her favorite activity...

perfume is always safe though I don't know if that fits into the too expensive category (depends on your age group), good ones are:

Paris Hilton (yeah I know, shame her name is attached to it) - $39.00 price range usually (Aus $)
Paris HIlton - For Her (I think) is usually around $49.00)
Fantasy by Britney (around $49.00)
Then there's any Escada types though more expensive ($49 onwards, generally around $69 mark)
Revlon Fire N Ice is cheaper than all those (if teenager and on a budget, not sure since don't know your/her age) and quite nice, if you got her that and a teddy bear or something like that, or some flowers, would be set.

Get her a small teddy bear and put your colone on it. Women enjoy getting teddy bears sometimes and its not too personal or expensive and she will always remember who gave it to her. Take care Heather

As a female, I would say go with something safe. Picture frames or candles. For some reason most girls like that.

How about a CD or DVD that you think she'd like?
Or just make dinner for her?
