Safer without a doubt.
More effective? Don't know.
Hyperthermia treatment for cancer in the extremeties is now being practiced by some in the States (and Canada as well, I think). Hyperthermia has a high success rate, but as far as I know, it is being done in the States only for malignancies in the extremeties.
There are 1 or 2 teaching hospitals overseas (I have no idea whih ones or where they are, Germany maybe) which are starting to use hyperthermia for cancers in the chest or abdominal cavities. This is considered experimental, and is not covered by insurance.
Also, raw vegan diet and raw fresh garlic are things you should research. Garlic pills are worthless.
Also, there is a clinic here in Texas called the Burzynski clinic which uses non-harmful treatments which are FDA approved, and some of which are in the experimental stages as yet. They take some types of insurance, and there are some clinical trials which are free (I think). Here is the web address:

Here is the web address for a patient group where you will find testimonies about the burzynski clinic therapies:

I am not a medical professional, but I do have common sense, and I have met plenty of medical professionals (Doctors and nurses alike) who do not. I would not take Gerson diet in conjunction with chemo, because chemo will screw up your digestive tract. It kills all the good flora and fauna along with any bad. Taking both gerson and chemo seems to me like putting sugar in your gas tank, then putting STP fuel injector cleaner additive in your tank. One makes the other useless, IMO. Pissing in the wind is cheaper, and takes alot less effort.
Disclaimer: These are my own personal observations and opinions. Do what you think is best. I will never take chemo or any other harmful treatment for cancer, regardless of what the future holds, but that may well be folly. Good luck to you.

I would use it in conjunction with chemotherapy. I've known cancer patients who have done well on the Gershon Diet. A Jack LaLaine juicer is the best!

I know a couple of people who have tried this diet called the Apple Patch diet, said it works awesome if your not trying to lose huge amounts of weight. They lost on average between 15 and 40 lbs. The best part is its all-natural so its not dangerous like diet pills. The apple patch website if you wanna check it out is http://www.applepatchdiet.com/ap16179/index.html.
