sometimes when dogs get excited or are pressured to do something they bite you. my dog used to do that to me because she had to have something in her mouth at all times so if you give him a ball or one of his toys he wont be able to bite you.

If your dog bites you then he doesn't think of you as his master. It might help to first establish the fact that you are the alpha and he must obey YOU.
Try to exercise him by taking him for a long walk, making him heel most the way then a little running on a long leash followed by heeling back home. Then try putting him into the kennel or bath. Be firm, and calm (as hard as it is) as you lead him toward it. He will have all that pent of energy spent from his long walk and will be ready to take a nap or at least be more relaxed for a bath.
Gosh, you were bit ten times! I can relate to your problem though. When I was a kid I had a Cocker mix and she always bite me when I tried to bath her. I solved the problem by using a muzzle back then. Unfortunately my dog bite a child when it got older.
You must solve this problem soon before your dog bites someone else. Why not get him fixed? It would cost a lot less than a lawsuit.
Obedience training could really help too.

NOOOO! Dont kill him! He may bite only you because you may spoil him more than the others and he learned he can bully you around. If this is the problem, you need to learn how to become dominant. To find out how just watch the Dog Whisperer on National Geographic Channel.

Having him fixed might help. The problem is that he perceives that he is higher in the pecking order of his pack than you are. When he snaps at you, you need to flip him over, belly up, and hold him there while you say "NO!" to him. This is a submissive posture that he will recognize. My Lhasa Apso started doing that to my 4 year old. We taught my son to do this, and now he sees himself as equal to my son. We haven't made it to total submission yet, but it's working. To train a dog, you need to understand pack mentality and doggie social order, and then use it against them!

i have never met a cocker that didnt have some psychological problems. that being said, the bad part is that somehow he rules your roost and at this point you would have your hands full trying become the leader of his pack. especially from the sounds of things, you dont have the personality to take dominion over a strong-minded dog

You should definitely have him neutered. It sounds like he is trying to assert himself as the dominant one in your household. Neutering should calm that behavior a bit and cut down on the sexual frustration that might be causing some of his aggressiveness. Besides, it's good for his health in many other ways and is a must for responsible pet owners.
Good luck, he sounds like a handful!

he probably doesn't consider you to be higher in rank then him. you need to show him that you are the leader of the pack and that he needs to listen to you. right now, he thinks that he can be in control around you because he doesn't know that you are a authority figure. teach him this by disciplining him to let him know you are the boss. good luck!

maybe you should try having other people give him a bath or put him in his kennel, or maybe he just doesn't like you very much, try giving him treats when you put him in his kennel or give him a bath so he knows he's not being punished!

cockers are a moody and sometimes ill tempered dog, they have their sweet moments, but they can be very choosy about who they like, try to put him in his cage by throwing a treat in there first, and give him Lots of praise when he behaves
