If there was a war between the EU and the USA, who would Great Britain side with? They are geographically close with the EU but culturally and historically linked with the USA.....What do you think?

The UK would probably break from the EU and side with the US. The UK has never been much for European Unity - the never switched to the Euro - and they probably trust America more, anyway.

A war between the US and EU would be unusual since the EU is an economic and social union as opposed to a national/federal union.
The EU was founded to prevent war on this continent by its largest countries. It has succeeded and will succeed to prevent war on the continent when more members join.
As for a war, you may over-estimate your special relationship with Great Britain. It may be historically linked with the US but it has a longer relationship with other countries of the EU. It is a lot closer culturally than you think and is bound by a multitude of treaties and trades more with the EU than with the US.
But in the end it depends on what the war is about and how/who started it.

This question is definitely one of those, where I think, is he stupid or I? I believe the first.;-)
Sorry but everyone should know, that GB historically, culturally, linguistically and religiously heard to Europe. Over the geographical one we could argue, what certainly we, however, do not want.;-)
The fact that GB is member of the European Union is much more important, however, than that which actually should be also clear to everyone.
The USA is in these relationships a child of Europe, what will also surely be to be read in your school books.;-)
But it is very very incredibly, that it comes to a war, since otherwise our beautiful planet would not exist anymore.
I am sorry because of my hard words, however this question is in fact superfluous.

Definately the EU. It would be alot easier to invade from france than from the US.
