Probably thirty cars and teams have a chance to win. I feel it will be slim to have toyota win. They are looking good so far this week-end!

Great answers most of them bashing Toyota and some people actually think that Toyota is the face of their teams, laughable. Toyota wont be in victory lane, but they could place a top 5.

The faces of the teams are not the manufacturers, its the drivers. It amazes me that there is not a lot of backlash about foreign drivers in Nascar, but one foreign auto company enters and all hell breaks loose. Reality is Toyota is going to stay in Nextel Cup racing and in a year or two they will probably win their first title, they will win their first race this year, they will compete in the chase this year.

Stop bashing what you fear, Toyota, it was inevitable with how Nascar has started hitting all the key demographics that a foreign manufacturer would enter into the race. Just thank your lucky stars that it was not Honda, if it had been Honda you would all be running for cover. Honda has proven time and time again that they will enter a racing series and dominate it in the first year no questions, and no matter the cost.

I would be very surprised to see a Toyota in victory lane tomorrow. They've had success in the truck series for several years now so their winning that was no surprise. It was a heck of a finish though. Having said that, I have been surprised by the success of some of the new Toyota teams this week. I would've all but bet the house that Michael Waltrip wouldn't have all 3 of his cars in the race. I would say either Michael or Dave Blaney are Toyotas best hope going in. It's going to be hard to beat the bowties though, they always seem to dominate at the plate tracks. One never knows though, maybe Matt Kennseth can pull it off this year, as long as he can keep Tony Stewart from punting him again.

what do u mean less toyotas than other manufacturers?
there were only 2 dodges in the truck race last night
9 toyotas
9 fords
15 chevys

no i dont predict a win for toyota at daytona in nextel.although i can see a toyota or 2 in the top 10.

just give them another year.toyota pretty much dominates the truck series now, toyota will be alot beter in nextel in 2 years.
remember when dodge came back to nextel?
it took 2 years for them to win a race,it was michigan and sterlin marlin was the driver, allthough it was a rainout,it is still win

I hope to see them all collected in an early crash so I don't have to hear about them anymore.Yes some are made in the United States but toyota has NO American heritage and is the WORSE IDEA EVER to bring them in. So much for the car of tomorrow supposedly saving teams money. With toyotas deep pockets it will force most smaller teams out because they will not be able to keep up. Nascar does not care about the fans. It only cares about the money no matter where it comes from or who it destroys in the process.

Well the Toyotas have been havin problems in the Nextel series. So I don't think they will win it. They could get a top ten. But I doubt they can win it.
