Jesus told me to treat everyone the way I want to be treated. I want to be treated with respect. He also said that I should be kind to my neighbors. Many of my neighbors come from other religions. Should I be kind to them or should I be an intolerant fundamentalist and behave as if God loves me more than them? It looks like the fundamentalists have fun ignoring the teachings of Christ. Should I join them in creating a new form of Christianity? Or should I continue being reasonable with my neighbors of all beliefs?

Having lived over half a century and endured racism, bigotry and other predjudices, still stand firm on the "Golden Rule" Treat others as you want others to treat you. You can follow the up to date version of "What goes around, comes around," as well because we are all going to die and nothing that anyone has done to us will mean anything then.

Jesus tells me too in the bible that we should do unto others as we would want them to do unto us, as that is the laws fulfillment. We cannot change a persons beliefs, only follow our own, the Christian way of speaking and acting. If we judge them by their way of believing, oftentimes they are offended. We wouldn't want to be so presumptuous by saying that God loves us more than them. That would be insulting to them. The best way is to show them by our deeds and conduct that we are trying to follow our path in a Christian manner. Who knows, as a result of our conduct, they may just read God's Word and embrace his message for all mankind.
If our faith is strong enough, nothing will be able to separate us from God's love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39.

I am a fundamentalist and I treat people well - as I believe Jesus would want us to. We should not become their bestest friends but we should respect them and love them as Jesus loves them.

you should definitely treat them with respect. they deserve no less. just because someone believes in something other than u, or worships something other than u do doesnt make them evil or wrong. if u r still unsure, u should ask them 2 explain more about their faith and ask questions like y do u practice this this way? & remember 2 b open. u might just see simularities between your faith & theirs that u didnt know existed. i wish u luck!

You should talk to them about your beliefs, and listen to them about theirs. If it doesn't work out, there's plenty of other things to talk about other than religion.

In the Bible, it says to love everyone, believers and unbelievers alike, so people should follow that.

We are to love one another.

While you are loving them....be careful
their SINS don't CONTAMINATE YOU.
That's in the Bible.

There is only ONE true God.
The God of Jacob.. Abraham...and Isaac

there is a difference between tolerance and kindness. tolerance is putting up with something you don't agree with. kindness is going out of your way to show love to those you don't agree with

Yes, I agree.
"Love your enemies; do good to those who despitefully use you."
Love you neighbor, love your wife...
Jesus' message was always one of love.

you should accept them, but you don't have to approve. Christ loves ALL people, and so should we.
