If you want help your community, its great, you'll train normally for 16 weeks (hendon), you'll do first aid and Officer Safety Training. You will wear the same uniform as your regular colleagues. All the rubbish that has been put on here is not worth a damn, regular officers are quite happy with the bachup you will provide, although true, you'll only get expenses. Its better than lazing around or playing golf !

Dont you want to be paid to do it???
They ask for minimum 4 hours per week, you attend a very basic training weekend...YES weekend!!! Takes regulars weeks of training then theyre on probation for 2 years!!! The idea is great, but the reality is different! You are resented by the regulars as youre not trained etc and they think youre mad for doing it for free!!! Good if you wanna insight into police but that about it!

you will hear all about how you assisting the regulars and doing a great public service.I was in the police for thirty years.Although we couldn't say anything without getting into trouble it is true most police officers either laugh at or resent the specials who do someone Else's job for free and mean that at major events they happily do for free what would have been overtime for the regulars. Its always the people who don't have a clue who say go for it..

It involves training over 10 weekends, you will not get paid however you can claim expenses, you will also be issued with the warrant card in the same way officers are given.

You will then work alongside the police officers who get paid and will be expected to do the same job.

I know that it involves 99% of the crap that regular pigs get with 0% of the money, you'd have to be off your box to do it.
