No, it won't grow faster but it is good for your hair. I have very long hair and cutting it removes split ends. If you have split ends they travel up the hair, causing it to break off so not only is your hair unhealthy looking but it is breaking off as fast as it is growing most likely, especially if your hair grows slower then normal.
I say wait longer though, only get it cut every 6 -8 weeks as hair doesn't grow that fast. And when they say "hair cut" they mean a trim..about an inch.

There is no real way to make hair grow faster except hormones, however your hair can grow healthier and be less likely to break. You can try taking hair vitamins or prenatal vitamins, both these help inprove hair quality, strength, and shine.

Also you may want to avoid any leave in conditioners that contain a lot of "cones" (ingredients ending with "cone" such as dimethicone) as these are basically plastic, they are added to make your hair appear shiney however the coating on the hair prevents it from absorbing moisture. Read the labels and look for products with only one "cone" and be sure its not one of the first ingredients, but more towards the middle or the end of the list.

You should get your hair cut every 4-6 weeks depending on when it is needed. Trimming the ends does not help your hair grow it just prevents it from breaking and helps keep it healthy. Your hair growth rate does not change because you cut it. In addition to getting it trimmed be sure to keep your scalp clean and hair conditioned. Depending on if your scalp is oily or dry washing it too often or not enough can also be damaging. Good Luck.

the reason it wont grow is because you cut it so much. Cut it once a month but just a trim. But cutting the ends does not make it grow faster it has nothing to do with the roots of your hair. Cutting it just keeps it looking and feeling healthy.

Sorry. This isn't actually true. While it is correct that trimming every 4-6 weeks will make your hair look healthier, by getting rid of split ends, it will not make your hair grow longer faster. And the only recipie for long hair-patience. Sorry, I wish cutting hair would work too....

You should get your hair trimmed regularly... every 4-6 weeks depending on your hair type. This will keep the ends from breaking too far up. Not getting your hair cut is the worst thing to do!Also try taking vitamins.. Prenatal vitamins help your hair to grow faster and more healthy.
Good Luck!

I don't see how cut the ends of your hair can effect how the hair follicals grow, so I'm going to say no, it just removes the split ends that can break your hair.

And if you're having a problem growing your hair first make sure that you are in optimul condition for that area to grow.

First you are going to want to take a daily multiple vitamin/mineral

Then, make sure you drink 8 to 11 glasses of water a day.

Consume 9 to 11 servings of carbohydrates a day (like cereal whole grain bread, oats, rice) to give your body the extra energy for it to grow more hair!

Take you recommened daily servings of protein because that's what hair is made of. (Foods that have protein are eggs, chicken, turkey, beef, dry beans, and, my favorite, nuts!)

Make sure you have a clean clogged free scalp, and maybe massage it for a good circulation is also good.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMLkl While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Don't cut it or anything but make sure you wash it very often (every 1-2 days) and eat lots of protein.
You might also want to try massaging your scalp and brushing it a lot to make it grow.
Also, everyday, wash it in hot water.
