All three ( JFK, LGA, Newark Liberty) are close for you. Hotels in NYC are very expensive, 300 to 550 a night, but you can stay at any of the airports for a more reasonable price.
You can also contact Yankee Stadium and ask which hotel they might recommend. The area around Yankee Stadium is not a place most people want to stay. The trains system is great for getting to Yankee Stadium.
Good luck

Fly into LGA take the M60 bus to Lexington Ave- just over the bridge- and the take the subway uptown a couple of stops to The Stadium
There are no decent hotels near the Stadium your choices would be near the airport or for a similar price head into Manhattan by train.

You take the shuttle buses that "Famous " suggested because you know up front exactly what it's going to cost. With a cab the cost is a total crap-shoot because you pay for the actual distance driven and you pay for the time stuck in traffic. On that particular trip the often cited 15 minutes only applies to trips that are taken during the week , in good weather between 11:00 PM and 5:30 AM During the rest of the time that trip can take you from 30-60 minutes .....which you're paying for

LGA, is closer cause all you have to do is take teh GCP west and cross the triboro and stay on the Yankee lane(Left lanes) but be ready because we had a storm and everything is still icy so yeah... but have fun !

Better plan. Fly into Logan Airport and go watch a Red Sox game.

I would never fly in to NYC. Dont you know 9/11 was in NY? It happend before, its likely to happend again, if you go, dont say i did not warn you in writing. Take GreyHound or the Train.
