Well, some consider it the entire book of Revelation. The tribulation is the time just prior to the return of Jesus to this world to rule. The Battle of the apocolypse or armegedden is the finally battle of Good, and evil. During this Time, Jesus will return, and defeat the armies of the world who are about ready to destroy Israel, and try to destroy the end time belivers. Want to know more about this? I suggest you read the book series, left behind, maybe even reading the 3 prequils of this series. The series although fiction, takes all the the end time prophesies, and brings them to life.. I hope you will take to reading those books. it will be an eye opener. Have the Bible ready, and you will find the verses that are shown in the books

I think the white horse is symbolic of power. But, Hey, maybe the Messiah YAHOSHUA just likes horses. We don't know for sure. Much of revelation is symbolic. In the end everyone will know that YHVH did the most generous thing that could be done. (read it again, and ask another question)

If I remember correctly there are two white horses mentioned. One appeared at the opening of the first seal, the other will carry Christ on His return.
"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His Name is The Word of God. The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: KING of kings and LORD of lords." (Revelation 19:11-16)

The end of the world is predicted all throughout the Bible here and there.
It would help if you did your own study though.
Try http://wikipedia.org/ to get a better insight of what you are actually looking for in your study
or
Revelation chapter 19 talks about it

There's four horses I believe :)
I don't get into Revelations that much, because I think that people tend to use what is said there to their own advantage. It's easy to say "this is what it means" when it hasn't happened yet.
Perhaps it is because it's going to happen whether I read it or not that keeps me away from it. I get confused about some of it, so I guess I'm not one of those about whom it is said "let him who has ears to listen..." lol

Some guy having an acid trip 2,000 years ago. The scary thing is that some people believe in it as a prophecy.
