Have misplaced my passport - I know the rules for entering have recently changed - can I get across the border with just a driver's licence or is a passport now required. Thank you for your help!

No you need a driver's license and your birth certificate. Your driver's license only proves your identity, anyone could go down and get a Washington State Driver's License, it doesn't prove your citizenship. So you also need your birth certificate. They are stricter at this now as they tighten up the rules.

A passport is preferred and needed to fly. But passports wont be needed to drive across the border for another 12 to 18 months.
