Or, have you simply seen the results? Without using the results of the wind, prove that the wind exists.

Have you ever seen a cancer cell? If you say yes, you are fibbing. There is no such thing. How do you know a person has cancer?

Is feeling the wind a result. How do you convince someone that you actually felt the wind. And, how can you convince someone that you actually felt the Holy Spirit touch your heart, and witness to you that you will go to Heaven?

The Holy Spirit is real to me. But, I cannot prove it. Being born again is real to me, and I can prove it. Just like the very early Christians proved it.

I can live this life.

If you hurt me, I will forgive you.
If you I have hurt you, I am sorry.
If I am nice to you, I will go to Heaven.

I can't believe you just said there's no such thing as a cancer cell. I have seen cancer cells. A loved one of mine died from cancer, and we saw the X-rays and the pictures taken from a microscope. You are an ignorant a$$-hole saying something like that. I'd like to hear you say that again when YOU get cancer.

This is absolutely the worst, most intelligence-insulting, stupidest argument for believing in God that I have seen yet. I am completely blown away. If religion makes you this ignorant, then I thank the non-existent god for making me an atheist.

Feeling the effects of wind is universal. There are a few other senses in which one can feel wind. If anyone came up to me and started saying that they were "feeling the Holy Spirit", I'd say "Oh, good, it's nice to know your happy, but since the Holy Spirit cannot be measured scientifically nor cause visible results which would do more than conjecture at it's original cause, I can't say it exists - although it IS a nice name for that surge of energy throughout your heart and body." As for cancer, it's simply a name for the disease that spreads when malignant cells metastasize and/or invade other cells, It's much the same as saying "Well, strep throat isn't an infection, it's the streptococci bacteria that cause the illness". In which we all can say "The nomenclature is a means to classify illness, not to describe the specific goings-on of the body. Perhaps it is impossible to say "cancer cell" because the name of the disease is characterized by malignant neoplasms which cause cells to divide, but the term "malignant neoplasms" just hasn't caught on. Doctors remove the areas in which the many divided malignant cells exist: say, most of the thyroid, most of the breast, or the entirety of a tumor. Sometimes, early on, they are able to capture the neoplasms prior to complete cell division and simply remove that one small area where they exist in the body.

How do you convince someone that the Holy Spirit touched your heart and witnessed you will go to Heaven - talk to someone who believes in the same religion. It is a spiritual belief that cannot be governed medically or scientifically. It lies within the realm of philosophy. I have felt great joy and excitement in my chest, but I think it was caused by the person I was with, the event I was at, or the revelations something caused me to experience - none of which I can prove really happened unless you were inside my mind at the time.

All the best.

"have you ever seen the wind"

Sure, create a room full of smoke and lights, get a ventilator, and voila, you can 'see' wind.

"Without using the results of the wind, prove that the wind exists"

now you're just being difficult ;) (yes, I was too :P. But what would be a good 'room full of smoke' for seeing god?)

Cancer is a class of diseases or disorders characterized by uncontrolled division of cells and the ability of these cells to spread, either by direct growth into adjacent tissue through invasion, or by implantation into distant sites by metastasis, so in that sense, yes, a 'cancer cell' would be nonsense.

edit: I could see where you were going with that question, yes ;)
Also, it is sad that people attack you for the cancer cell thing. But I guess it is a sensitive subject.

edit edit: COME ON! Does anybody here know what cancer is? Please people, a little education is a joy for ever!

Wind is a word created by man. Whereas you cannot see it, you can feel it. Sight is just one of five senses.

Have I seen a cancer cell? No, but I have seen images of cancerous cells. Once again, man defines his environment, and in this case, we have stated that this affliction is known as cancer.

The development of knowledge is what society does to answer that which is around them. Obviously, you want to prove the existence of supernatural beings in comparison to an everyday occurrence that we cannot see. Well, my friend, we can still feel it. It's tangible, supernatural beings aren't.

When you have cancer, why not let God fix it instead of going to the hospital?

Of course, you think there is no such thing as a cancer cell, so belief in fairies and God fits you well.

Well if a cancer cell cannot be seen, how would a doctor do surgery to remove it? How could a lab report the entire tumor excised?

There is such a thing as a cancer cell, and many people have seen it. Do you believe in skin cells?

My Partners mother died of cancer, we saw the cells and we saw how she died as we were caring for her at home. Luckily she died the way she wanted, peacefully with people around her who loved her! She did not believe in Jesus or God, because if they had truly existed, Miracles might still exist and Cancer would not be the 'killer' that it is on so many kind, loving and gentle people.
