Try to gather as much information as possible about your grandfather and his police career. Go to the personel division for the police department that he was working for. They should have the records that you need. A desk sergeant or just anyone at a police station is not going to have access to these archives.

If you are from phila, Got to your local police office, or station, talk to the sargeant there he or she will help you, maybe, or you can go to your local Libarary, They can help you as well
