How many calories would be burned if you jump rope for 10 minutes straight?

you can burn about 200 calories in 20 minutes - so about 100 in 10 minutes, but it also depends on your body's metabolism, current weight etc. Jumping rope is an awesome exercise though. You could draw it out into a 20 minute fat burning workout by jumping for 2 minutes and then stopping for 2 minutes to do a few sets of strength moves inbetween. This is called interval training (periods of high cardio inbetween periods of lower cardio) is one of the best things you can do to get in shape and burn fat/tone muscle.

Not nearly as many as you think. Depending on your weight and level of fitness, you might burn 75-100 calories in 10 minutes. To really start burning calories you need to do an aerobic workout which would mean at least 15-20 minutes.
