This guy called me this morning on my cell phone saying really nasty, sexual things to me - and he knew my name. It was from a local phone number (land line) in my area and I am kind of freaking out about it now wondering if I know this person or not. I tried to look up the # through reverse look-up on anywho.com but no results were returned. When my husband called the number (he was smart enough to mark his call private) what sounded like a fax machine picked up the line. Are there any other good resources for finding info on the owner of the phone number?

You will not get in problem for whistling via the mobile. When I had a prank mobilephone caller in NJ years ago I once placed the telephone correct up to the tv and blasted the volume. It just occurred to be throughout a business for diarrhea remedy and that i laughed so difficult after that I used to be pleased the prankster hanged up. Document this stalker. Police officers don't frequently do some thing but make a document but if you make a point that you're female, live alone, that this individual has been harrassing you for a even as, they're going to ultimately do something however step one is reporting this to the mobile carrier. They can trace the quantity. Take these calls significantly. No longer only does the prankster wish to get to you, they could also be looking to preserve track of you. Burglars will more commonly name the condo they intend to break into just to be certain there's no one there.

yeah report them to the phone company and your cell phone company, they can trace the calls. Most of the time the phone company can scare them into not calling again by saying if they are reported again the police will be notified and they can be charged. good luck! and another thing dont erase anytime they call save them to your phone thats your documented proof. the cell ph. company can print out a copy of the calls if it goes that far.
