I agree with the first answer... It's built in for a reason... the last thing I need is to get rear-ended by some rich guy watching dvds in his car cuase he's paying more attention to the video than the road...

yes, it is illegal almost everywhere... but they sell modules that u can wire in to do the trick...
but if u know a bit about electronics and have some time:
1. pull the center console out
2. find the switch on the e-brake
3. slice into the wire (pls do this correctly... use solder + shrink wrap, if you don't corrosion does occur it's just a matter of time)
4. find a toggle switch put your spliced wire to on one side of the switch and the other side to ground.
5. when you activate the switch it will trick the DVD, it will think the e-brake is on ta-da
NOTE: the only problem i can perceive is the park lights will turn off... just put your headlights on :)

You want to watch a video while driving?! Not only is it probably against the law in all 50 states and most countries, there's a reason they have safety features and they aren't meant to be disabled.

Are you nuts? With all the accidents and fatalities every year from inattentive drivers, why ask such an asinine question. Get responsible or become a statistic.
