The tradition of the bride wearing white didn't even begin until Victorian times. Before that, women wore whatever color they wanted and blue was the most popular.

The purity of the soul is more reflective of the ability to wear white. In today's society anything goes and naturally white is the color pushed on brides because, like diamonds, the symbol of a wedding has been those items. In my opinion the value of a woman is more tuned to gold than white. As a father I enjoyed the prom gown my daughter wore more than her wedding dress, which by the way was white. Follow Your heart not the ideas of others.

Traditionally brides wear white for a FIRST MARRIAGE.

Attributing virginity to any bride who wears white (or ONLY to brides who wear white) is quite presumptuous, anyway.
Many brides wear white despite their prenuptial adventures, and some women who have every right to bedeck themselves in the color of purity choose not to because white is simply very unflattering to them.

With non-traditional weddings becoming commonplace, any color or style of wedding dress is usually deemed acceptable.
In fact, for many women, the chosen clothing to get married in isn't even a dress.

A wedding is one place where the Bride is PRESUMED virginal,
much like the accused being presumed innocent!

NO because if that was the case no one would have to buy a white dress and the ppl who supply the white dresses would be out of buisness.

It's a tradition that you may or may not choose to follow. I don't think people will come after you with torches if you do.
