This whole thing is so insane and infuriating...I'm not sure what to think anymore. Sad to say this, but Bush is looking more and more Clintonesque all the time.
He's ducking, dodging, weaseling, waffling, pandering, playing PC, and selling out vital U.S. interests like security and border integrity...and for what?! A few Hispanic votes and smooching up to our "friends" in Mexico? This is not what I expected of a Republican president.
If Bush's tenure in office is cut short by impeachment, this will be the reason. It won't have anything to do with Iraq, a "war for oil" or any other liberal mantra. It will be because he's failing in his constitutional duty as Chief Executive to protect Americans from foreign invasion.

The latest evidence that I have seen states that the Mexican government requested that the border patrol agents be prosecuted, and the Bush Administration complied. This malicious prosecution was approved at the highest level of the Bush Administration, and the prosecutor, who was a buddy of King George's, did everything he could do win the conviction.

I have wondered about this all along and am GLAD to see that POSSIBLY something will be done to see if this happened. The biggest human rights violation that has happened in this country recently is that Ramos and Compean were put in prison for doing their job! The conditions that they are now in - are ones that I think all that had anything to do with this should receive double the sentence given to these two men and placed in the very same conditions.

We will not remain calm. We will continue to keep this out their and we will remain vocal. Until they are both out of prison and back with their families. The Department of Homeland Security is still going after more Agents for doing their jobs. The government is going to give the smuggler millions of dollars in taxpayer money.

We must not remain calm, these two were just doing a very good job, the guy they shot was not just here for a better life, he was a well known drug runner. Going after the two agents, and rewarding the drug runner was done to keep Mexico happy, and help push Bushs open border plan.

Ironic, isn't it?
Bush has done little, if anything to secure the borders.
And when a criminal is shot in the butt, two guards are thrown in jail.
It is so sad, it almost sounds like something that would happen under the Clinton Administration!!!
Strange days, my friend.
Free Ramos and Compean, NOW!

It's the Bush Administration. They don't care about those two heroes. All they care about is Iraq and oil money. Yet another reason why we need to impeach this joke of a president.

I am with you on this issue. With the exception of a handful of politicians they have all been absent on immigration issues.
And the administration surely should be ashamed of this one.
What happened to the initiative that Duncan Hunter had going for these guys?

yeah we reward the drug runner for doing something illegal here, and he is suing us for five million dollars, we put those brave men who tried stoping him in jail. then we take Dog the Bounty hunter and are getting ready to hand him over to mexicans for arresting a monster! God our country is screwed up! THANK YOU POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!
