call the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040 and file a W2 complaint. They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them

I don't know what kind of action YOU could take against them but I do know that in order to file your taxes you could start using your last pay check stub as of 2/15/07 so if it is for tax reasons, you don't have to wait for them any more. Now about them getting penalized for not sending a w-2, they will, the IRS will fine them for every employer that filed with their last pay stub, because the company was REQUIRED to send them out by 1/31/07 and then the IRS gives the post office a two week advance on delivering them.
All you will need to file your taxes is a SUB w-2 which is the form where your pay stub information will go. GOOD LUCK and BEST WISHES!!!!!!!!!!!

Contact the IRS and file a missing W2 complaint. The IRS will investigate the issue and either get the employer to send you your W2 or they will assist in generating alternate documentation of your income and withholdings.
In nearly all cases, it only takes one call from the IRS to motivate a lazy employer.
You said that this is a large company. Make sure that you are requesting your W2 from their payroll department, NOT from your former supervisor! Most of them wouldn't have a clue how to proceed but the corporate payroll department will know exactly what to do and should resolve the issue quickly.

Have you moved since you quit in June and are you sure they have your correct mailing address?
Many large companies use envelopes that state "Do Not Forward", so if you havent' updated your address, you won't get your W-2.
Employers do not file their government copies until February 28, if you haven't gotten your W-2 by mid March, send them a certified letter stating that, then call the IRS and send them a copy of the letter/request you sent.
