Our friends in Congress continue to display the rich diversity of patriotism. Their actions demonstrate to all Americans that you, in fact, can support the troops while opposing the war, as long as you’re not too specific about whose troops you support.

Only way YOU can't fund them is quit paying your taxes. You have no choice BUT to fund our military. Why wouldn't you fund them? People like you would be the first to scream bloody murder if something happened and there was no military to defend you.

you should always support the troops, they may agree or disagree with the war or action they are deployed on, but they swore obediance to appropriate orders from the Commander in Chief and the officers appointed over them. When ordered to go to a war zone, they are going there under the orders of the President of the United States. Whether you agree with the war or not, you need to support the troops. I personally disagree with the reasons we went to war, however i believe we are doing great things in Iraq. For example, People are getting the rights to say what they want, do what they want and have the same freedoms that we have here in the US. Additionally, schools are being built, Hospitals too. People and animals are getting medical attention they would never have recieved otherwise. You dont hear this on the news. the amount of good that is going on in Iraq by far exceeds the bad you hear on the news. Had we not gone to war in Iraq, we would more than likely been sent to war in North Korea because they admitted that they DO have WMD. Iraq was only suspected of it. we should have gone to war and Kicked N. Koreas backside and pain in the *** countries like Iran and Iraq would have realized, "whoah, we might want to reevaluate our position". The people of N Korea are not prepared for an insurgency- to be insurgents, because of the way the country is ruled. The middle east has always been a killing zone, they have been fighting in sectarian violence for hundreds of years. we arent going to go in there and change thier ways of thinking. ties to tribes are stronger than allegience to laws.

Regardless of your feelings on the war, support the troops. they dont really have a choice in the matter. if they refuse, their lives become a litigation filled, bank account draining missery.

Yes on all accounts. If you as a nation send an army to war. You must supply them properly, even if it means giving up some of your comforts. The soldiers are giving up more than you as a civilian can imagine. To all you out there, especially the ones who answer this question, and who are against our military and it's funding. The very breath you take is a gift directly from all those who have served and died for our way of life. Make fun, ridicule, poke fun if you will. Do all those things but you would not be breathing freedom if not for them. Shame on all of you fat, soft, spoiled brats who make light of our troops. May you pay a price you never imagined as they did.
And to those of the Islamic faith I warn you, you will pay a great price for your hatred. You spout peace but only hate comes out of your actions.

Yes, now that we're in Iraq we can't pull out until the job is done or the deaths of the good men and woman would be for nothing...We should stand and support our troops until every last one is safe.

We should support our troops. It does not matter that you may be ticked off at your government but these men and women go and do what their government ask them too do and we need to let them know we are here for them.

The question has nothing to do with funding the troops who are already there. They want to stop funding for anymore troops or supplies to be sent over.

The troops out there are fighting to keep your freedom of choice, you can do as you wish.

You definitely shouldn't fund them to the level you do. The USA spends more on arms than the next ten states combined, and its not as if there are really any major foreign military threats.

That said, you can support the military if you want to, but the people in charge of it tend to be knobs.

yeah! i think we definately should! they're helping to fight not only for OUR freedom, but for the freedom of others. there's nothin more selfless than that! i say all the power to them and we should all continue to pray for/support them.
