First off most cities and towns have an on call vet or emergency after hrs clinic. when you call your vet they will probably have the emergency contact information on their answering system. If not it should be posted on their door. If you have just bathed your dog make sure you did not get soap in the eyes and that your dog does not have a cut that may be irritated by the soap. Also if your dog has picked up some fleas the bath can cause the fleas to become very active and can cause your dog to be bothered more by them. I have a miniature that when I give her a bath she runs around and rubs on ever thing to dry herself. She is very funny when she does this. As for the separation anxiety, try making the separation a good time by giving your dog a special treat that it does not get at any other time. I had the same problem and after a while my dog almost wanted me to leave so she could get the treat. You may also have to get her a friend. Two dogs can be better. The can keep each other company. I had to do this once, when I took in a dog that was raised with 10 other dogs since birth. I showed dachshunds for several years.

Look in the phone book for a 24 hour emergency Vet office.

Stay near him and try to calm him down, maybe feed him or give him some water. Some vets have an emergency doorbell during after hours.

OK OK calm down first. Now, give your dog some water and try to lay him down. If not, just pin him down to make him settle down and calm himself. Watch him though, then warm him up some beef or chicken broth and put some of your "medication" in it. It is OK if you overdose it just because he had panic attacks.

Good luck!
