it's funny, but society somehow shuns the idea of shopping around for the religion or spirituality that suits you. we are expected to shop around for the best deals on everything else, and we are expected to make well informed decisions on other things in our life. i think it's awful that this society neglects to allow an understanding about choice in the matter of religion.

how can a person, who does not feel fullfilled or completed by their religion, not want to see whats out there. only by reading, and speaking to those of other religions can we truly grasp what is best for us.

i am a big proponant of taking a good look around in the matter of spirituality and finding one that really suits you. if that one fails, after a course of time, to ring true to you - you should go looking again after reevaluating what it is that leaves you empty. there are many paths to the same goal and so many beautiful and amazing choices.

if someone feels the need to convert, and does it with truth and in good conscience, then it is fine with me.

i have been: baptist, catholic, pentecostal, atheist, wiccan, buddhist, taoist and hindu. it is only after this that i have become an eclectic pagan. i now study and practice from many different religions and it serves me well.

I don't like the expression "Converting from one religion to another." I prefer to think that you are on a spiritual quest to find the meaning of your existance. If you are not fullfilled with your present belief system, then you must continue the quest until you are. You are not converting, you are fullfilling your destiny.

Good Luck,

If you are considering converting to Christianity it can give you eternal rewards, and I encourage you by all means to do so. If you are thinking of converting to some other religion, don't bother. It's just a waste of your time and trouble.

I think one should always be in a religion that helps them more than any other. Someone who does that may convert several times in their life, and that's okay. There's more than one way to find God.

I think it is a hard thing on a family if you are still living at home. Other than that it can be the best choice you can ever make, if that is truely what you believe.
