If you are needing to lose the weight due to health reasons, your best 2 things to realize that losing weight is entirely tied into your amount and type of exercise you do, and portion SIZES that you eat. A portion size is the size of your fist. Are you used to eating more than that? When you eat is very important. Eat early in the day, and smaller amounts for dinner. Do not even nibble between meals! Stop drinking carbonated drinks (sodas, etc.) entirely, and replace those with mineral drinks (Propel, Powerade, etc.). Water is so, so necessary, so get the type of flavoring in these waters that you really enjoy. For exercise, it depends on your health. Are you able to climb stairs? That, for me, has really done a great toning job on my body. Eat no sweets for a while, just concentrate on, "I'm losing weight, now."
Eat lots of brocoli, cucumbers, lettuce, cauliflower, celery, and do not put salad dressing on your salads at all.........use lemon squeezed lemon juice. Cut down your meat eating for a while. Do not fry your foods at all. Bake them, steam them in water, but do NOT fry anything for now, at least! (you may find you like this better, anyway!)...........a fist size of cooked rice, covered with wonderfully steamed vegetables is a wonderful dinner.
Remember to stop at your proper proportion. Remember, scales can be 5 pounds up or down every day. Bodies just do this. Don't weigh everyday! Weigh after about 4 days of this regimen. Good lLuck! Let me know how you do!

it depends where you are at. If you wiegh over 225 pounds, anything you do will cause you to lose weight. You can try things like not eating after six, or taking a 30-45 min walk at least 3 times a week. Stop eating ice cream, candy and pop, and white bread. If you are under 180 pounds you will really have to work out and limit your calories and stick to a specific diet. Doesnt matter which one as long as you work out and stick to it.

You'd need a healthy diet. This doesnt mean u'll starve all day! having fruit every 2-3 hours between meals keeps the metabolism up. Its better to eat (providing it is healthy and limited) between meals than not. Also regular exersize should become a part of your lifestyle. To keep weight off, one shouldnt lose more than 1-2 kilos every week
