i have no paper work is there somewhere i can look on the engine or truck?

10 th digit( from the left, in the VIN ) is for the year , 8 th digit is for the engine . any parts store can tell you the rest from here on in

yes on the engine itself, there will be several listings for what type of engine it is(some small and descreat, some large and obvious) and on one of the doors of your car there should be a little metal plate on the end of door that might tell you that information, what year is it, i might be able to look it up for you? if yours is the 1996 model then it is probably this v

Look under the hood, there is a sticker that says the engine size. If it is a V-8 it will be a 4.7 litre.....287 CI

the engine compartment where the radiator is or the hood look for a white square sticker this willl tell you spark plug gap and related info/

open the hood, typically there is a sticker labled emissions or something similar on the underside that will list engine size ie: 5.2 v8

under the hood there should be a sticker if its a 6 cyl its could be the 3.9

well you can look at the vin # should be the 7th digit
if it has a Z it is a 5.9 V8
if it has a Y it is a 5.2 V8
if it has a N it is a 4.7 V8
if it has a X it is a 3.9 V6
if it has a K it is a 3.7 V6
